The Swedish music streaming service, Spotify has now updated its Mac and web apps with a simpler user interface to make it easier for subscribers to listen to and discover songs and podcasts.
Launch Spotify app on your computer and play your favorite songs via Spotify app. And then you will see there is a small 'EQ' icon at the top bar; Step 3. Just hit on the 'EQ' button, it will pop up the equalizer window, in which you can customize the music preset according to your needs. EqMac for Spotify Equalizer Mac: Step 1. Visit www.eqmac. How to Put Spotify in Offline Mode. If you’d like to manually put Spotify into “Offline Mode,” you can do that, too. On Windows, click the three-dot menu icon in the top-left corner. Select File Offline Mode. On a Mac, select “Spotify” from the menu bar. Click “Offline Mode” to make Spotify go offline. That’s all there is to it. Run TunesKit Spotify Converter on your Mac. Then wait until it completely loads Spotify app. Once done, log into Spotify account and find the Spotify track or playlist you want to download to Mac. Then simply drag the title to TunesKit program.
After many, many years, you can now initiate a Chromecast stream from the Spotify app for desktop. You’ve long been able to control Chromecast streams that were initiated from the iOS and Android apps (via Spotify Connect), but now you can initiate those streams directly from your Windows or Mac desktop.
The news comes via Spotify Rock Star MattSuda — as they note, you’ll find the feature in desktop app version 1.1.38. In this version, you can simply use the usual “devices available” menu to see available Chromecast devices.

This feature is a long time coming. If you’re a regular Chromecast user — as I am — you’ll probably relate to the frustration of not being able to start a Chromecast stream from your desktop. In fact, this was one of the benefits of running the Spotify mobile app in Chrome OS desktop, and running the iOS version on an Apple Silicon Mac would have allowed this functionality as well.
Thankfully, it looks like we’ll all forever be able to start those Cast streams straight from the desktop — no workarounds required.
